Zinc Ash (Cyclone)

It is by-product of the zinc production process. This powder consists of fine particles generated during the processing of zinc ashes and separated from the air by cyclone separators.

Features :

  • Particle Size: Cyclone dust produced in zinc factories is usually very fine and contains micron-sized particles.
  • Composition : Zinc cyclone powder may contain zinc oxide (ZnO), zinc sulfate (ZnSO4), lead (Pb), cadmium (Cd), iron (Fe) and other metallic components. The composition varies depending on the type of ore and the processing method.
  • Physical Form : In powder form, usually gray or white in color.

Areas of Use :

  • Metallurgy : Due to its high zinc oxide content, zinc cyclone powder can be recycled and reused in zinc production processes.
  • Chemical Industry : Can be used as raw material in the production of zinc compounds.
  • Agriculture : Due to its zinc oxide content it can be used as a fertilizer in agriculture, but the heavy metal content must be controlled.
  • Pigment Production : Zinc oxide can be used in pigment production.
